Nomination Format and Requirements

Identify the nomination category for which the candidate is to be considered. The Saskatchewan Aviation Hall of Fame, the David Eckmire Industry Service Award or the Distinguished Airman Award

Second Page

A narrative describing the contribution, its impact and the significance to aviation.
This narrative should highlight such things as:

    • Personal or group qualities, skills, innovativeness, commitment, dedication, stewardship for the aviation community;
    • Involvement or commitment in a major program, project, research study, action or activity.
    • The scope and impact of activities.

Attach additional documentation if applicable (e.g. additional letters of commendation, reports, and newspaper/journal articles).

 

Deadline

The deadline for nomination submissions is September 30th. The award recipients will be notified by October 15th. Awards will be presented at the Annual SAC Conference each year.  Some nominations may be carried over into the following year.

Rules for the Saskatchewan Aviation Council Awards

The Selection Committee consists of three representatives from the aviation community appointed by the SAC.

  • The Award Selection Committee will consider all nominations that meet the documentation requirements.
  • Members of the Committee are not eligible to receive an Award nor to submit nominations.
  • The Selection Committee will select the nominees who, in its judgment, are most deserving of the award and submit its recommendations to the Executive of the Saskatchewan Aviation Council.
  • The Executive of the Saskatchewan Aviation Council will select the Award recipient(s) considering the recommendation of the selection committee. The SAC may also decide to carry awards over into the following year.
